太平洋高壓強，中央氣象局統計，今年入夏以來，攝氏38度以上極端高溫的日子特別多，目前6月及7月至今已有10天，預估月底前，38度以上高溫的日子還會再增加。

今天台北市氣溫飆升至39度，是台北氣象站有紀錄以來7月最高溫，氣象局說，未來一週太平洋高壓勢力仍強，全台出現38度以上高溫機率高，台北市因盆地及熱島效應，氣溫很可能再創新高。
氣象局持續發布明天14縣市高溫燈號，白天台北市盆地、南投縣近山區或河谷為紅色燈號，有連續出現38度極端高溫的機率；花蓮縣、台東縣縱谷，新北市盆地、基隆市、新竹縣、彰化縣、台南市、高雄市、屏東縣、宜蘭縣近山區或河谷為橙色燈號，有連續出現36度高溫的機率；嘉義市、嘉義縣近山區或河谷為黃色燈號，氣溫也可能達36度。
