Business park woes
'Train services inadequate. Pedestrians flout traffic rules.'
MR NATARAJAN S. KUMARASWAMY: 'I work with Citibank in our campus located in Changi Business Park. Despite the sizeable workforce stationed there, train services are inadequate. Services to and from the Tanah Merah MRT station operate in 12-minute intervals. The SMRT should cut down the intervals to at least four minutes during peak morning travel. SBS should also operate non-stop bus services from the various interchanges directly to the park. Another problem: Jaywalking pedestrians who flout traffic rules at the Tanah Merah station, crossing the road even when the lights are red. More monitoring by the Traffic Police will help.'
