With aggressive testing comes increasing numbers of "cases". I would have thought the government will want to do some PR over the increasing numbers instead of just releasing these numbers as they are, especially when elections are drawing near and we likely going into recession. Besides the obvious answer "the government just wants to be honest with citizens", any other possible reasons?

Honesty from the PAP govt? That's a bold statement.

The maids not included in testing yet. When this explode, every household with maid will be Singapore is duakee.

Just wait for a couple to be tested positive and turn Singapore upset down.

By then Singapore will hold the title of longest lockdown no.1 position.

Under pressure from WHO. Since PAP has already embarassed itself, why not turn around to say that it has done more testing than other countries in order to exonerate itself from so many infected cases? It is called, art of war. If people think you are dead, why not pretend to be dead and save the hassle of further proving to be something else?
