The cost of renting a supertanker is about $4.50 a barrel a month, according to data from Rystad, or $9 million for an average-size tanker holding 2 million barrels.

We get paid to receive free oil ($30 per barrel) that we can store in our underground storage. We can then sell it off when price goes up. Even at current price, we will still be making many times profit. Just keep Jinx's hands off this as she will squander any all the gains.

This low oil prices was exacerbated by Mohamed bin Salman desire to control the oil market by dumping fuel to kill off more expensive producers and control Russia.
I think it backfired badly.
Here is the scenario.when the world opens up again, there will be a huge shortage of fuel and price of oil will sky rocket.you cannot start production overnight.those bankrupted producers in the US will need to settle their legal problems first which takes time.
And oil platforms that were shut will need time to recruit workers and restart.
