Question about Medisave Account

Medisave limit has increased to 60K and my friend told me that if account holders die and never use the fund for medical purposes, all the money in medisave will be forfeited and given to ah kong.

For example, if people die of heart attack, all the unused medisave amount is forfeited and they cannot be given to their wives, children, parents, mistresses or gay partners.

please let me know if the above is correct or fake news?

The remaining Medisave balance, after the payment of the last medical bill, will be distributed to your nominees upon your death. You can nominate those you want to receive your CPF savings by making a CPF nomination. Otherwise, your CPF savings will be transferred to the Public Trustee for distribution in accordance with the Intestate Succession Act for non-Muslims and Administration of Muslim Law for Muslims.

Not halal or haram lah. If no nominatiom then the money may be distributed according to Sharia Law. However Medisave money can be nominated according to member wishes.

Unless they don't pass a new bill in Parliament to fuck your medisave, what happens, one fine day you wake up an the law state, bal of deceased medisave can only be transferable to next of kin and no cash payment will be paid out. Head CAQ and Aunty Ho win, tail u lose.
