Chitchat Dear @eatshitndie, happy 69th birthday! And I hope you manage to live until your 96th birthday! haha

So here's my favourite English pop song from 1969:

you must have been born in the year 69. that means you're 50 years old. i'm always 69, from birth to death.

no leh I am not born in the year 69.

69 was the code my Clinical Group gave to me when using our pagers.

Actually so long ago I having difficulty remembering how the pager worked.

I do remember if you page someone either your number show up or you can punch in the numbers you want to show? I remember 41765 was for HUGS?

So I think maybe we used to page each other then put like 0169 to indicate I am with my group mate so that the rest know or something? I also cannot remember liao.

2nd time I used pagers was in Calgary as a resident. (Yes they still use pager!) The pagers can type message one. Long long message also can just break into several pages. Technology really changed so much!

yeah, at that time of pagers, very garang to carry one. must show off to ah lians when choping table for lunch. "waaah! ah hia, you so handsome one with that pager."

It was a great post for a old fart!
I know I might be wrong, but I suspect that our dear @eatshitndie was born in either 1951 or 1952, so there's a good chance he will be 69 years old either this year (2020) or next year (2021)!

Anyway, I intend to use this thread to post YouTube videos of some of my favourite English pop songs that were released from 1969 to the early 1980s and which @eatshitndie might have heard before (when he was a young adult), even though I obviously cannot know for sure whether he has ever liked them!

The changing
Of sunlight
To moonlight
Reflections of my life
Oh, how they fill my eyes

The greetings
Of people
In trouble
Reflections of my life

Oh, how they fill my eyes

All my sorrow
Sad tomorrow
Take me back
To my old home

All my crying (all my crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back
To my old home

I'm changing
Arranging
I'm changing
I'm changing everything
Well, everything around me
The world is
A bad place
A bad place,
A terrible place to live
Well, but I don't wanna die

All my sorrow
Sad tomorrow
Take me back
To my old home

All my crying (all my crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back
To my old home

All my sorrow (all my sorrow)
Sad tomorrow
Take me back
To my old home

All my crying (all my crying)
Feel I'm dying, dying
Take me back
Take me back!!!
