Where is the PMD Spammer Boss today? So quiet?

I have never agreed with the dumb decision by the Singapore authorities to confine e scooters to the footpaths. It was bound to cause conflict.

I fully support this latest decision as it puts Singapore on the same page as countries such as Germany and France which have also banned e scooters from the sidewalks.

However it is ridiculous not to allow them on the roads. There is no difference between an e scooter and an e bike as far as safety is concerned so why allow one but not the other.

Yes they should be allowed on the roads. But not before passing highway code tests, properly covered by insurance, and be made to wear helmets. They could ride without having to pay road tax.

1. How is the government going to enforce this new law?

2. Can public footpath users help to bring offenders to justice? For example see e-scooter coming stop e-scooter (with all means) and call 999.
