I recall that in the old days, if one is not connected to ACS, whether parents were alumni and/or rich, an individual is unable to attend ACS.
I wonder how LTY, from a rental HDB flat, was able to go to ACS (Barker Road), ACS Secondary, ACJC.

Politicians and their spouses must take all reasonable steps to look and dress well.
The spouse of the President of PRC always dress well, whereas, and sadly, the spouse of the Singapore's PM, should seek the suggestions of a fashion designer and protocol advisor. It appears that she is the among the worst dressed spouse of current politicians.
Worse, for secular Singapore, the Head of State reflects a particular religion, which does not speak well for Singapore.
