Finally! An end to religion.

Free yourself from the grip of the Quran lah. Same to those Christians who should do likewise with the Bible, the Jews from the Torah, etc. Adopt the good morals taught, but know that all religions were created by man to control and organise societies. Once you are free, your mind opens and you will start realising things you were never aware of. Also new meaning to things. New answers even.

Well....end of the day is ur choice. Own free will. No one force me to be a Muslim. Anyway God doesnt need us. We need Him. Just rem tis. Satan is powerful. He will distract mankind from believing Allah. As mentioned in the islamic scripture, the day u are born Satan already with u. Obviously he knew ur past.

Satan and God are creations of men, as depicted in religious books. Just like fictional books and movies, where there are the bad guys and the good guys. Religious books are no different. No worries bang, to each his own and in each own timing.

understand, its like tasting the forbidden fruit one time and never ever being able to taste it again.

it was your fate/destiny/karma to have that magical experience... and maybe to spend the rest of your days figuring out how to get back there again. coz i'm sure whatever you felt then, IS (space-time-all-is-one continuum) real.

put it crudely, god cock teased you
Yeah. exactly rite. It could be also that I am lucky!

Actually the word real is a good one. That experience felt realer than real. It could feel everything at the same time. Myself there, myself here. Actually, >60% of my mind was spent trying to figure out how I could be feeling all these sensations. So it wasn't anywhere near hallucinogenic. It was racing to process all the information I was getting. This so called magical part felt like 15 minutes when it would have taken a good two hours. In other words, the other 1 hour was spent on more mundane things. Things I expected. I guess a good example is when you see a math theorem that you've been trying to solve for years being worked out right before you that makes perfect sense, but the teacher is moving way too fast for you too absorb and won't repeat it. You also know you have no way of figuring out on your own.

That's a big part of the experience for me.

which 1 happened 1st, hypnotic treatmen or watching movie? ...
hah. good question! It's also a question I will ask in your shoes.:thumbsup:

movie happened first. But it had no impact or relation in my head until hofmann keep pressing me about whether it was like ayahuasca. That triggered the relationship for me. For the past 15+ years, it never occurred to me to describe it to anyone else in comparison to the movie. I always described it as a jump to lightspeed because it felt like that. If you follow the thread, I started with that too. I have no way of proving that it didn't occur to me until after ayahuasca was brought up, then the possibility popped into my head.

you'll just have to take my word for it!

“The universe is a pretty big place. If it's just us, seems like an awful waste of space.” ― Carl Sagan

"Some celestial event. No - no words. No words to describe it. Poetry! They should've sent a poet. So beautiful. So beautiful... I had no idea." ― Ellie Arroway

Yes, I watched the movie again. Her deceased father was there to greet her.

interestingly Sagan never believed in this otherworldly stuff. He did believe in aliens. It's just such a crazy coincidence that the movie was shot in a way that comes quite close to my experience. And no I met no one. I was alone. I did look around though....

and I guess poetry of unimaginable beauty is one way of describing it. but at the same time, the taxi's were honking and all the traffic noise was there. Could hear the motosikal riding past too. It was really something else. made my head spin.:laugh:

Ellie arroway was right. no words and I had no idea.

Well, I am glad he did this movie and you referenced it. He could've read materials or experienced events that inspired him. Yeah, damn the unwanted ambient noises when you were experiencing the ultimate bliss and beauty.

I am glad too! otherwise I really have no way to approximate the description. I dunno whether it was him who envisioned it that way or zemeckis. I should go find out....

actually, the ambient noises added to the experience for me. Like I said, a large part of it was struggling with how on earth is it possible to experience what I was experiencing, but the background noises were welcome like grounding comic relief.

Come out on the other side was perplexing, I didn't know where I was except it was the most perfect place I've ever been to. And I've been to lots of nice places! It was really beautiful!!

U dont know where u were. But was really beautiful? Able to describe roughly?:) Wat u saw? :)

I prefer to think they did not envision it. But rather they referenced it from accounts or personal experience. Still, they could've taken creative liberties.

hmmm.... this universe is subject to time. hence your question is only relevant to this universe. stuff exists outside these 3 dimensions that is not subject to linear time. so first and last don't really mean anything....

Excellent reply. Yes my question applies to this 3 dimensional universe/simulation we live in.

I guess life as we define it will be subject to the laws of time and universe.

Anything beyond it will be god-like and incomprehensible by us. Which reminds me of another movie:

Interstellar. Across the void, what defines our humanity? It is love.

Not just. When works which could motivate and inspire larger audiences with higher ideas are involved, the guides & helpers would help by telepathically guiding the creative throught process with higher ideas in the minds of scriptwriters, directors, actors, etc. How do you think the greatest creative works of both art and science are accomplished? It's never a one man show, but the collaborative efforts of many invisible and silent helpers behind the visible scene.

Thanks for the input. I didn't see it that way, but now I see the possibility of that happening.:biggrin:
