Bribe attempt
En route to the test, the suspect offered RM50 (S$16.40) to the CNB officer escorting him, asking to be released.
The officer rejected the bribe and reported the bribery attempt to his supervisor.
The case has since been referred to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) for further investigation.
Praising the officer, CNB’s director Ng Ser Song, said: “The officers exemplify the bureau’s values of professionalism and integrity, and our zero tolerance towards corruption. Any attempts to bribe our officers will be rejected and reported.”

Alamak $16.40 not even enough to get an Indian auntie hooker in Geylang.

Must learn about Sinkieland's cost of living first.

The addict came up with a cheaper settlement.
But sinkie arrogant think highly of themselves.
Cost so much more now for food and lodgings for who knows how long.
Now i ask you, since its tax payers money that will be used to detain him, was it a fair deal?

$16.40 = about the cost of a moderate distance two-way bus journey, over a typical five-day work week. :roflmao:

$1.64 x 2 x 5 =$16.40

Does it really matter? It's not like the PAP govt would use that tax revenue (years of surplus) to improve people's lives anyway.

Maybe a little more generous pre-election bribery every 4-5 years, but that's it.
