The founder of Huawei on Monday claimed there were political motivations behind the arrest of his daughter, Huawei Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou.
"Firstly, I object to what the US has done. This kind of politically motivated act is not acceptable," Ren Zhengfei told the BBC in his first broadcast interview since the arrest. "The US likes to sanction others, whenever there's an issue, they'll use such combative methods."
"We object to this. But now that we've gone down this path, we'll let the courts settle it."

I think the Chinese saying is 一件事归一件事. Huawei 5G is probably the best now and that’s why useless bastards are jealous and scared and bullying Huawei with the unsubstantiated accusations of them spying for China government. You know it’s a different thing altogether to be stealing technology and using company spies to steal technology and being the spy for China government, the latter which is what the USA is using as excuse to clamp down and lock Huawei in its expansion.
