I spent $30,000 on renovation, installing split air-con units & furniture in my HDB apartment.
Now inside my HDB apartment is quite similar to those private condo unit

In the present decade, HDB flats are no longer a slum. Upper-middle class working people are staying in 4-rooms or 5 rooms flats & not so overcrowding.
The cleanliness and lift maintenance are very good too

Ya bro ... only the very old days of the HDB 1 room half hall 一房半厅 rental flats can consider as slum.
Even the present HDB 2-rooms flexi is nice and tiny, the elderly who bought these 2-rooms flexi are not poor people either.
That is PAP future Headquarters,,,will be a palace and not a slum

This looks breathtaking. It his definitely high SES. The problems start when low SES characters start inhabiting the place.
Most low SES folks just want to meet their basic needs and that their children can climb up through education.
There is nobody in Singapore who does not have their basic needs met.
