Lazy Sunday afternoon nothing to do can to one of my fav restaurants in Bangkok to have a taste of other gin. As I’m always into Bombay and Hendrick’s thought today I’ll do a comparison test with a new one, Siderit Spanish London Dry

Chef obviously in a good mood when I offered him a glass of this Siderit gin tonic made me a special starter

Watermelon, freeze dry seafood flakes, salmon roe, citrus sauce, flower petals and basils. First time I have a starter like this simply out of the world with natural sweetness, sea saltiness, sour, and a hint of the sea breeze and spring time. Geeeze I’m gonna have this again next time but it’s not in the menu. Went so well with my 2 Gins

Your view about Roku Gin?

1276506.jpg

Read the review this morning, this Japanese gin seems like it don't get the same reception like her japanese whiskey sister

https://theginisin.com/gin-reviews/roku-gin/

Overall
Roku Gin has some interesting things going on, but ultimately, the palate just lacks balance, especially in the mids and on the finish. The intense bitter perspective obliterates the rest of the botanicals.

That being said, fans of complex botanical gins, and especially Martinis might be well advised to give Roku a look.
