A journalist, angry that his girlfriend had stood him up and gone shopping at Ikea with her friends, drove to the furniture store with a knife in his car.

Kelvin Phang, 31, a reporter for Today, took the knife, which had a 13 cm blade, with him after parking the car at the Alexandra Road building.

Wow what he did was so today.

When he confronted his girlfriend, she took the knife from him and threw it away. The police later found it in a dustbin.
