Govt House security hunts for ‘superstitious’ suspects who lit incense
politics February 20, 2018 07:00
By The Nation

Police stationed at Government House will check surveillance camera records to identify the person or people who lit 36 incense sticks in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building last week.

The PM’s Secretariat ordered the investigation reportedly out of concern that the act could have been a “superstitious ritual” carried out by people who had ill intentions against the junta government.

Officials added that there was a rule prohibiting the lighting of incense in the area.

The incense sticks were found under flower bushes in front of the Thai Khu Fah building, the main office of Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, on Friday, the day after a lotus basin in the area was accidentally broken by a car. The breaking of an object on Chinese New Year is considered by many to be a bad omen.

Prayut subsequently ordered Chinese-style red lanterns to be hung at the building’s gates on the same day.

Government House staff and Prayut himself have said the lanterns were for decorative purposes only and not involved in any form of superstition.

Traditional Buddhist ceremonies, particularly merit-making rituals, often take place at the area on special occasions.
This guy is superstitious. Once he unbutton his shirt to reveal his collections of 7 or 9 amulets on his neck in front of reporters, machiam the siam kia mafia.

Despite all the signs (in blue color) the owner of the house put up to tell drivers not to park in front of the house a stupid lady parked her pickup truck there. The owver of the house (2 aunty sisters) was so furious one took an axe and the other took a spade to whack the truck.

You see some time back the same problem occured as they had an emergency driving their father to the hospital, couldn't drive out and father died. Guess the emotions built up.

Rich Japanese man wins custody of 13 surrogate children
Bangkok Post Published:

The Central Juvenile and Family Court on Tuesday allowed a 28-year-old Japanese man to take home 13 children born to surrogate women in Thailand, granting him sole parental custody. The court ruled that Mitsutoki Shigeta was the biological father of the children, was able to raise them and was not connected with human trafficking.

According to the ruling, the man hired nine Thai women to be surrogate mothers for his children in 2013. The women gave birth in 2014 - before the new law restricting the use of assistive technology in childbirth was enacted on July 30, 2015 - and the timing allowed him to seek parental rights to the 13 children. The new law requires surrogate mothers to be relatives of the prospective parents.

DNA examination confirmed Mr Shigeta was the biological father, and the court found that he had taken good care of the infants before officials from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security took them to care facilities in Nonthaburi and Chiang Mai provinces.

The man had his representatives regularly visit the children at the facilities, it said, and had made plans for the children’s education and future well-being, including nannies and nurses at a residence in Tokyo. Mr Shigeta had also opened trust fund accounts for the 13 children in Singapore, the court found, and had previously successfully raised other surrogate children in Japan and Cambodia, arranging Japanese citizenship for all his children in Japan.

The court determined that Mr Shigeta was the son of a founder and chairman of a well-known listed company in Japan and owned several companies himself - including one that paid him more than 100 million baht in annual dividends - and had sufficient wealth to raise all 13 children. The director-general of the Department of Children and Youth did not oppose his sole parental rights, even though Mr Shigeta was unmarried.

FLASHBACK Police raid a condominium on Soi Lat Phrao 130 in Bang Kapi district, Bangkok, on Aug 5, 2014, and find nine surrogate children of Mitsuoki Shigeta there. (Bangkok Post file photo)

The so-called “baby factory” case made headlines in early August 2014 when nine babies were found at a condominium in Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district, along with seven nannies and a pregnant Thai woman who later gave birth prematurely to a baby girl. Mr Shigeta fled the country the same month, but visited Thailand 65 times between 2012 to 2014 - and on several occasions was spotted taking babies out of the country.

Kong Suriyamonthol, Mr Shigeta's lawyer, said the process of removing the children, now four years old, from the state facilities would be undertaken gradually, since the children had already become familiar with staff there. He added that Mr Shigeta had grown up in an extended family, so he loved being surrounded by large numbers of children. He would later decide whether the children would be raised in Japan or Cambodia, the lawyer said.

One of the best crispy pork shop in Bangkok in my opinion located at Paholyothin Soi 40 alley

For a normal plate of rice with meat on it costs only $1.70 or 40 baht. But this meal is rather expensive at 190 baht or $8 the plate of meat itself is $5 without egg

mussels look like those supermarket frozen ones from nz. and they add tomato based sauce with a slice of garlic bread trying to pass it off as italian? chef must be fake with credentials from olive garden instead of authentic italian or french restaurant. in gourmet italian and french cooking, bread is served with butter on the side, never with garlic butter spread on it. only american trying to be euro restaurants do that. and mussels and clams are served freshly cooked with wine with both shells on, not the half shell (frozen) giant mussel shit. the fish is overcooked as it’s deep fried. what a waste. this restaurant is fake trying to pass off as high shit euro. only the wines can save it, but italian wines these days are relatively cheap. even the best from toscana. i bought a whole crate of select (reserve) sangiovese tuscan chianti for $6.99 a bottle.

As far as food is concerned I was completely disappointed will not go again. The last dish the fish in fish sauce was also disappointing. Wine list not my liking. Only saving grace that night was good company so a happy ending I must say.

Very smart Japanese guy. The children will grow up to run his business empire, without the hassle of a woman (mother). No wonder he is rich. He has no weakness nor addicted to pussy. He wants children and do away with the mother. Total respect!!!! This is what i call the real man.
