Just found this during my springcleaning, some older folks here might have it too. Back then, they told me that it's gold plated.

If you ever get invited to any isetan ceremony, it will sure be nice to be seen by one and all, hanging on your bosom chest...the pomp and pageantry ....LOL LOL....

May I ask if you can use this medal in Public Hospital?
let's say: some one who has this medal and he is sick.
He goes to public hospital.
will doctors give him express Q and waive all hospitalization bills?

By the standards of a developed country, the answer is yes.....provided it is a public hospital set up for and to treat veterans, that is, retired/discharged armed forces personnel.

Unfortunately, for Singapore, although supposedly a developed country with per capita defence spending amongst the world's top three, there have never been any provision in the defence budget to provide for such a veteran hospital.

So the short answer is no.....

Maybe as a concerned and active citizen of a developed country you should make a strong suggestion this year around as the Singapore budget is just around the corner.
