Serious SGX chief failed to give detailed reasons for trading halt on July 14, 2016....Why?

According to the state-controlled newspaper published on July 16, 2016, page A10, "Mr Loh gave no further details on the hardware issue, saying only that it was not similar to the power fault that caused November 2014's three-hour disruption."

Why didn't Mr Loh disclose fully the hardware issue? Is it because he didn't want Sinkies to panick or because there are some elements in Hong Kong that want to embarrass mainland China, per $8 Cow?

Must b worries u will panic when u know sp services stopped supplying electricity dui to unpaid bills. Time to install cashcard meter there or handover to gahment to fix the assets for S$5 bln

No lah!....back in somewhere land, the switches have no labels that says OFF or ON...or the ISO switch symbols we have today...so someone from somewhere land....switched off the entire system.....& nowadays, it takes ages to start up any systems...for the rebooting is co complex......

It's a shame, such a big organization, backup does not take over when something breakdown, failed IT dept or outsource IT vendor....
