Tampines 1 Mall Staff Tells m&d Hawker To Fuck Off! Only Keen On Chink Business!

Our reader has shared with us a rude email reply to a Malay business owner, Diana Hairul who had written to ask for space to rent at Tampines 1 shopping mall so she could hawk her goods.

But Diana was shocked to receive a curt and rudely worded email who stated that the mall was not interested in renting out a space to her because their "target audience" is mainly "Chinese". This racist email left Diana speechless, and she subsequently decided to post this discrimination on Facebook.

The mall has since issued an apology to Ms Diana. They claim that "under no circumstances is Tampines 1 discriminating against any race and the management would not tolerate such a position." It added that the staff has been dealt with appropriately, but did not reveal what it means by that.

I have witnessed n a school, at a traditional games booth, a teacher chased away students not of a certain racial group, saying these games are reserved for students of certain races only. Fact is, these games can be played by anyone. It is promoting discrimination from young.

Truly shocking. Lease, rentals and space hires are the primary business of the Mall and such should not someone more matured and market savvy be handling this sort of matters. The Mall management might as well have the cleaners handle such matters as they cannot do worse than this.

PAP and PA can scream from the rooftops about integration, Shanmugam can giver speeches about integration but all these comes to naught if their own GLCs can offend the races in this manner and in spectacular way. We all complain about the Malays not being entrepreneurial enough and when they try to we respond with rubbish.

This incident should not be allowed to pass especially after Shanmugam's speech which was just weeks ago. WP's Faisal should raise this in Parliament and ask the PM what is his wife's policy for Temasek's companies on dealing with races. The PAP MPs should also grow some balls and start carrying some weight.

If someone better looking than your wife and kids walks up to you and comments about their attributes would you not get offended even if they were honest about it. If you wheeled your disabled relative into a crowded shopping mall and someones comments that it is not the appropriate time to wheel someone thru will you not get hurt. I can imagine what the lady felt.

also your examples don't even fit the situation in this thread.
