THE FACTS SO FAR

All 15 maintenance staff were walking in single-file, along the side of the train tracks, on the walkway.

They were following protocol by walking against the direction of the train.

The group was headed by the supervisor, and the two staff that were killed were second and third in line.

The group, which had received permission to go down to the tracks, had gotten to about 150m away from the Pasir Ris station platform when the incident took place.

The incident happened before the group could ask for permission to turn the power off on the tracks to stop the trains from moving.

The two staff were hit by an oncoming train, moving toward Pasir Ris, in the direction opposite to them.

The train in the incident was just pulling into the station, travelling at about 60km per hour.

There is no CCTV footage on that part of the track, and SMRT is in the process of getting detailed accounts from witnesses.

There is no CCTV !!...."DFS" woman, must have saved a lot of $$$$ for SMRT before she went out.....but if it was stretch of road, any oppoditiond walk or etc..you bet, CCCTV will be installed....

"It is a honest mistake...collect bonuses which is coming soon in July & " LET US MOVE ON".

Which is why the Hepatis C cases, that caused numerous death, was downgraded into just an "oversight" and life goes on. A scapegoat is punished (no details given)

Dominique Lee's death case. A scapegoat is lightly slapped. Judge said MINDEF has done enough.

Student committed suicide after police interrogation. Judge said no evidence related to MOE & Police personnel, life goes on.

SMRT, who will be the scapegoat? The verdict, just a warning and life goes on. Kuek will still get his fat pay long vacation to Disney land with his family. Throw in the money, and the deceased family will still happily vote for the pappy.

Sinkies syndrome, will the next GE give PAP an even improved vote..of 90%?

bro ...walau eh... how can you forgot to add in this case recently...

How come the CEO did not commit harakiri as 'suggested' by the $8 Cow??...this is an extremely breach of security, NATIONAL SECURITY....they could have just installed time bombs on the carriage, instead of spraying graffiti!!.

Yet...sHE got her pay plus bonuses plus perks...the same will be for the current accident for those in charge ....a committee will be formed, etc...same of 'song' will be sung....& same old conclusion...in the end....not " the love you take is equal to the love you make"...but.....disciplinary cations will be taken against the 'common man'...but those in the 'ivory towers'..will go scot free.

Where is the 'commit harakiri'?? Cow $8??? come clean....ha ha ha
