The people who have shaped our world the most are those who slaughtered millions of people or caused millions to people to die. The most influential people in history are people like Alexander the Great, Rameses, Napoleon, Caesar, Genghis Khan, Stalin, Mao, Cortez, Hitler, etc etc. Hardly anyone remembers your kindly social worker or elementary school teacher as someone important who shaped the world.
The chinks played so little role in shaping world history not because they are isolated in one corner of East Asia, but because they lost most of their wars and battles both in China and when they ventured abroad.
