"Uprooting the Leading Causes of Death" by Dr Michael Greger

All vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans contains protein..

Rubbish. Fruit and vegetables contain almost no protein.

Rich vegetarian sources of protein would be nuts, proteins, whole grain cereals, beans (including tofu and its derivatives) and mushrooms.

Mock meat is made from gluten, a protein found in wheat. Some people are gluten-intolerant, so these people should avoid mock meat.

I would agree that nuts and beans contain a lot of protein.
But not fruits and vegetables, which contain very little (if not close to zero) protein... so you might want to double-check. :)

if you eat one piece of fruit of vegetable or fruit per day, of course you cannot get enough of it..

i am referring to eating the rainbow of fruits and vegetables per day or at least 3 different colours per day.

It goes in synergy.

Meat and diary , in fact, has too much protein and it will do no good for your bones. Human body is very suitable to synthesis protein from plants but not from meat.

by the way, vegan bodybuilders eat lots of greens and fruits too. It is the combination of different fruits and veggies you eat a day and not a single veggie..

most meat eaters think in the single veggie form of eating because their pathetic diet only consist of one type of veggie while the rest of it are animal dead bodies.

I'm afraid even that's not enough, compared to almond's 20g of protein per 100g or soya bean's over 30g protein per 100g.
The average man needs nearly 100g of protein everyday, so he would need to eat MUCH more fruits and vegetables to reach 100g of protein, causing him to feel too HEAVY by the end of the day...
It might also be too expensive for some people...

Yes, I learnt that after watching this:
By the way, I discovered that video by Dr Michael Greger only after discovering this first:

These quote about a person need how much grams of protein , i only take it with a pinch of salt.

everyone's body is different and the food they get from is different too.

I get my food from organic sources and they sure contain more nutrients than the non organic ones, including protein.

By eating the rainbow of fruits and veggies, there is no need to worry about protein. Many vegans become fantastic body builders..

When i was a Vegan years then before i consume eggs, i never had any protein problems at all.

The only problem i have is vitamin B12, and so i consume eggs. But i also take in B12 supplement now but i still love eggs. There are more variety of food choices if egg is included.:D

I am speaking from experience.

The studies on the 100g never indicate which source he get the food from for testing. he test on ang moh or asian? so many variables are not indicated and just claim that 100g statement.

If you wanna turn vegetarian, mock meat is not a good choice if you want to be healthy.. It is a processed food laden with colouring and possible additives.

What is your opinion regarding Indian vegetarian food, which I understand is mostly bean & plant-based?

Do you think it is healthy?

It depends if they use a lot of oil or not.. Actually it is ok.. I don't eat their fried stuff such as papadom.

I dare say, if you still REGULARLY eat eggs, it's probably a SIGNIFICANT source of protein for you nowadays. ;)

P.S. Looks like I've accidentally dedicated my 1,000th post to you! :D
