But I thought he'll follow Heng Swee Keat and Chan Chun Sing, who were appointed Full/Acting Ministers in 2011 without having to go through any "Minister of State" training?

Also, if MG (NS) CCS, a former Chief of Army, can be appointed as an Acting Minister less than two WEEKS after becoming an MP in 2011, I think there's a 99% chance that the OLDER LG (NS) NCM, a former Chief of Defence Force, will be appointed Acting/Full Minister before the end of this month or early next month.

just curious. Desmond was higher ranked than Lui in SAF. But, later, Lui became Minister, lagi higher than Desmond. How come?
