If people are willing to pay $15 for pasta that comes only with cream sauce and bits of ham, I don't see why they shouldn't pay more for hokkien mee, considering that the ingredients are a lot more generous.

No reason to pay $1700 per stall when centralised washing is gaining popularity with grants from Spring S'pore. Half that amount sounds more reasonable with economies of scale.
