i observed most of these kind of similar crimes took place in HDB flats, i think there is ill effect of staying in cooped up pigeon holes which resulted in either suicide or man slaughter. do not under estimate the impact of staying in pigeon holes over a long period of time. people who stay in semi-detached or terrace houses seem happier. but the cramped space in sinkieland is sometimes too much for some to take which cause to act on impulse.
