Serangoon Division distributed 25kg rice bags to needy residents living in a rental block at Serangoon Ave 4. Some residents came forward on their own to help in the distribution, including delivering the rice bags to some of the elderly residents’ home. This is the first time in Serangoon Division that such an event was done almost entirely by residents living in the area. We sincerely thank our residents and the rice donors for making this event possible.

The best way to bring up children is to impart upon them the importance of hard work and discipline in order to achieve success in life.

You can't do that by giving freebies. It just spoils them and they grow up not being able to deal with hard knocks later on.

The saying "you have to be cruel to be kind" is certainly appropriate here.
