Because most people are slaves to property and money.

It wont get it cause the US wont invade like they did in Iraq.

Two years in NS enough to brainwash whatever deviant tendencies anyone could ever have and turned them into docile conformist.

It's actually the females who are more likely to vote for the incumbent PAP.

Other than a few patriotic gong kias and those siao on OCS/commando types, all NS does is open a NS boy's eyes to the corruption, inefficiency and double standards of SG Inc.

Why do Sinkies want democracy in the first place? That's an Ang Moh system and Singapore is a predominantly ethnic Chinese society.

Surely a feudal system would be more appropriate.

Yes yes.....a feudal system is what we want. Let's feud and the next winner takes all. Time for a new feudal lord, cos too many omens already. The court is overflowed with jesters.

Hong Kong is predominantly Chinese and has democracy. Korea, Japan as well

I agree, sinkies are obsessed with money and economic status.they don't aspire to higher things like arts music science or literature or sports or culture.which is why Singapore has no achievement in any area other than making money.even our methods of capitalism is more about cheap labor low value quantity over quality population ponzi stuff.we don't excel in any area like German excel in engineering or Russian excel in missile and aerospace technology and USA excel in making fancy crap and hollywood movies.culture wise we lack behind greatly our peer countries like hong Kong Korea and Japan or Australia.

The only thing Singaporeans can aspire to is make as much money as they can,and work till they die in this overcrowded prison camp pigeon hole shithole.singaporean's only condolence is they might make it to the top one day so they don't have to be one of the poor 66% sods that have to work a miserable job at 62 clearing dishes or cleaning toilets to supplement their inadequate cpf pension schemes.

Do you mean consolation? ;)

Anyway, I think the majority of Singaporeans are NOT concerned about making it to any so-called "top" one day.
They just want to be able to survive in reasonable comfort until death, preferably at a ripe old age of at least 80.

HongKong isn't a democracy anymore. It's now communist. It wasn't a democracy before China reclaimed the region either. It was a British Colony with the governor appointed by their Ang Moh masters.

Korea and Japan have had democracy IMPOSED upon them by the USA. It's part of the historical baggage from the 2nd world war and the Korean war.

Sooner or later they'll pluck up the courage to show the middle finger to the Ang Mohs and revert to a system far more suited to their culture.

Do not be fooled by all this "democracy" crap. There is no reason whatsoever why non Ang Moh nations should adopt democracy as their system of government. There are many other options that are far better that can be tailored to suit the national psyche.

Even "Ang Moh" nations are not really that democratic.
There's "democracy", but not REAL democracy, because their governments are controlled by political parties (regardless of whichever party wins whichever General Election) that are ultimately controlled by the aristocracy, who back all the major parties (e.g. Conservative and Labour in the UK, and Republican and Democrat in the USA).

Hahaha that's where u are wrong, sinkies are very much concerned with making it to the top, they are obsessed with making it to the top, although of course in this case we are not talking about sentosa cove top or 35 million dollar bungalow top.most sinkies would never make it to that top.they are happy if they could be the top of whatever mediocre hill they can get.it doesn't matter what top as long as they can be better than someone.

For most sinkies case top means top em1 stream class in their primary school, top psle score, top secondary school, top JC top uni, then graduate to a white collar job to live in a top of the range HDB flat or entry level condo and drive a top of the range family Lexus sedan.if they can ferry their children to a top secondary school in a Mercedes they have reached the pinnacle of the
