They have always been confident they can get most people to work for them, whether in parliament or not. So your theory is unlikely to be correct. Whether they are delusional or spot on in the
assessment of people remains to be seen.
What is more likely is that KPK also wants this for his own reasons, and he has been doing all the necessary "ground work".
LHL looks at the criteria, looks at KPK and bingo! There's a match!
But the question to ask KPK and other professionals like him is this: "How do you think you can really help the ordinary Singaporean citizen by joining the PAP at this time?" You can be sure you will hear the usual rhetoric and motherhood statements, but they don't really have a good answer to the question. Because there isn't one.
