Mindef: Allowing nsfs to charge their phones in camp will cause overheating

not in my days. that's not military training. that's bringing mommy's home to the barracks. saf has become a momma's boy's army.

Military training does not mean cannot live in comfort. This is thinking soldier, only idiots follow the book. My cohort did every trainings as per saf laid out. We completed both Atecs within 1.5 year and 1 year choboolan waste time.

Active combat unit no nite snack, regulars go home at 1700hr when no training. So what wrong in watching tv program in the evening if dun want to go nite off. Play da dee often also sian.

As for French underwear's question, the bunk is a twelve men bunk, too big for portable aircon to work. At that era, sleeping in aircon not a norm. Also the smell of smelly boots and greasy uniforms not exactly great to breathe in.

No aircon bunk is okay if it is in those colonial style building with a high ceiling and many ventilators.

Old school barracks much better that the current nonsense SLA built. Reservist bunks are 4 storey blocks, very stuffy and hot. The fans must full blast just to keep the bunk ventilated.

What about White Horse recruits? You think this Col Yeo dare stop PM's or Minister's sons from charging their phones?

Why do trainees need mobile phones in the first place? They're supposed to dedicate all their time to becoming good soldiers.

Phones would be a distraction.

You're saying Kiwi soldiers dont use phones?
