Why does Pinkie Ass change cabinet at this stage?
No confidence in those guys?
A diversion to distract the prople from the crisis?
Potential Upheavel in the ranks and file in the cabinet? (remember WKS and his pooodles now have psychic powers)
Pinkie Ass sickness relapse?
Old Fart up the lorry soon?
Wood Head coming out on his own to challenge Old Fart?

When LKY goes, it will be interesting to watch. Without power himself, LHL will fall. Afterall, he did not build up these muscles on his own body, but pasted onto him by his father. Which will drop sooner or later.

LKY can build any fence, but self build up power is more important than relying on others.

In contrast Dr.Mahathir has left his legacy in good order.It still stood despite Abdullah and his sinkie supported son-in-law Khairy efforts to dismantle it.No doubt Mahathir son lost to Khairy in recent UMNO election.But Mathair's legacy of 22 years of rule would see his son' future in UMNO.

But LKY by clinging on to power and putting his son in the seat of power which LHL himself cannot cope has destroyed both LKY legacy and the future of LHL.

I have to agree with you. Suharto is good, during his years here. Indonesia progressed alot. If not for his son TOMMY, he need not stand for his last elections. He need to be there to protect his children. Indonesia was on the verge of a collapse too, in 1998. However, I think the death of his wife had a considerable impact on him, in 1996. Rumored to be shot to death by his son TOMMY. During his last 10 years, he kept to himself and rarely appears in public. A true hero and respectabe politican. Even for his mis deeds in the past, but people forgave him, when he passed away. difficult times calls for difficult resolutions during his early years.

Dr. M? I still admire him for his daring stunts in 1998. Even I dont like him for his arrogance. But he manage to break away from politics, and gotten his own son a handsome sum of $$$ over the years.

LKY? He should have kept his mouth shut after Pinkee gotten up as the PM liao. Let Lao Goh take the beatings. When you are old, you cannot think properly at times. What you say may offend others, and it is best you keep to yourself and enjoy your the remaining years while you can.

Pinkee is not meant to be a politican. Just a nerd. He is up at that post becos he has to be. LKY should have asked his sons to do something else, and fade away as time goes by. People will remember him for his good things. For this, people will remember old fart the bad things he did and talk bad about him even when he goes.

Standard procedure. After every election there will be cabinet reshuttle. Same with others country because is the best time to do so. And the cabinet have 4~5 year to show result. Not last minute when election time.
Some ministers will be voted out/some retired(not seeking reelection)/RIP/jail/.................
So there will be always a replacement. not a big deal. In Singapore is more easy to re-arrange cabinet. Because a dictator style cabinet. Not like in US/UK/France they have much harder decision to make to make others happy if not cabinet will go againt President/PM. If those/member not happy when party election for the leader he/she will be out as a party leader so do the PM/President.

ALL said and done, a cabinet reshuffle is always a diversion, a PR exercise and a power play all rolled into one.
