New shoes for ns

Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen announced on Sunday that NS Men would have new running shoes to pick from by the end of the year from Adidas and Zoot.

He uploaded a photo of his three pairs of ASICS shoes to Facebook and explained that he was happy with the high quality of these shoes which have been the brand used by the Singapore Armed Forces since 2011.

He wrote " Like most of you, I was delighted with the ASICS shoes that the SAF supplied. They were high quality and have given me many hours of happy walking and jogging. In fact, the picture shows my third pair since it was introduced."

Dr Ng went on to say that the next shoes will be Adidas and Zoot and will be available at the end of the year.

He wished his Facebook followers "Happy Running!" in the Facebook post too.

More details about the new shoes will be available in the near future.

Back then new balance and later brooks and saucony were good enough.....at least they were pure running shoe brands.
Not surprised there's kelong in these procurement decisions.

EVERYONE ran the same distance. The punishment for most things was physical torture and that included 5 km runs at 11.00 pm.
