is electricity cheaper than petrol?
For a small country like Singapore with high gas prices is more suitable.electric charging for now at corporate parking and city "e-zone" parking is free. cost only a few $ at home per month. gasoline is around $3.69 per gallon for regular at the nearest costco store. at 80 miles per day of driving, i can save $330 per month. the $330 will then be donated to the pap for their re-election fund.![]()

For a big country like the US, 80 mile a day range is peanuts. You may think it's more than enough distance for you when you consider the distance between your home and workplace. How about those unplanned trips during weekends and holidays when you simply want to drive to a place that is 50 miles or more away, how can you return to your home base on the same day? How about those long Interstate trips? You will need to fly and get molested by the TSA instead of driving and enjoying the scenery.
What if these manufacturers cannot agree on standard socket type for charger? Nissan, bmw all got their electric cars already. HK and sinkie best place to test. Maybe due to high taxes, they avoided.
