SINGAPORE: Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) paid its CEO Chua Sock Koong :oIo: S$4.71 million for the financial year ended March this year, an increase of about 2 per cent from S$4.61 million the previous year.

This was disclosed in the firm's latest annual report released on Thursday (June 26).

Ms Chua's remuneration was lower than the S$4.9 million she took home in the 2011/12 financial year.

Allen Lew, SingTel's CEO for Group Digital Life and country chief officer for Singapore, earned S$3.31 million, up from S$3.25 million in the previous year.

SingTel, Singapore's largest listed company by market capitalisation, made a net profit of S$3.65 billion in the 2013/14 financial year, up slightly from S$3.51 billion in the previous financial year.

Airplanes fly sky high but airlines' profits if any are grounded. All airlines basically work for the oil companies and their profits go there.

I heard she is Leelated.

That is why she earns millions.

I believe she is the daughter in law of the late freddie Lee, Con You's brother. Maybe some bros can confirm this?

Chua Sock Koong
Cousin of the Lees
(We have to rank her above poor old Lee Hsien Yang as she has taken over his job!)

CEO of Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel)
(Family replacement for Lee Hsien Yang)
& Member of Singapore's powerful Public Service Commission

Chua Sock Koong is the daughter of Chua Siang Chin, Singapore's former Minister of Health, and so is a cousin of the Lees

(Chua Siang Chin is said to be suffering from Alzheimer's disease - another bad gene in the Lee family?)

Ms Chua Sock Koong was appointed Group CEO of Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) on 1 April 2007. She oversees SingTels three key businesses - Singapore, Australia and International. Prior to this, she was the Deputy Group CEO from October 2006 to March 2007.

Sock Koong is an Executive Director of SingTel and a Board member of Bharti Airtel Limited. She is also a member of the Singapore Management University (SMU) Board of Trustees, the Public Service Commission and the Corporate Governance Council of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.www.yeocheowtong.com/Salaries.html
