The number of high net worth individuals (HNWI) in Singapore grew by 4.5 per cent last year.
The report defines HNWI as someone with US$1 million or more in investable assets.
There are appx. 13.8 million HNWIs worldwide.

I don't see how the average heartland sinkie contributes any more than a new immigrant. In fact, the sinkie would have received a whole host of subsidies eg subsidised education, subsidised housing, subsidised medical care etc.

Foreigners often know how to exploit the system in SG. Money in and money out through the casino, the shell companies, fake investments, etc for tax evasion and what not in their own home lands. Only the naivetés see white as white. Factored in the excellent banking network and political stability, no other country in SE Asia can beat SG as the ideal place to put their funds. There are certainly more rich people in SG than reported.

thats true,my entire adult life i have never received a single dime of handout from the government,apart from the once in a blue moon "GST voucher",every single dime iv spent came from my pocket,the overpriced mrt fare i pay,the overpriced food i eat,the wireless 3g on my phone,my trips to australia....just like lee kuan yew entire adult life's believe that singapore should merge with malaysia,i too spent my entire adult life believing santa claus exist in singapore somewhere....sadly my dreams turned into disillusion the longer i spend in this country.

Quite true. Look bro, even my KTV marmiee tells me that many china chicks under her, have qualified for OCBC Priority Banking (need 200K deposit to qualify). They manage to save about a quarter million SGD each after working for 2-3 years.

Really bro, how many of us here have 200K in bank account? and these chicks are retired KTV whores from china and they are already so "accomplished" in their sg career.

When pinoy holding red NRIC wanted to join in national day celebration of pinoy land in orchard road, when South Koreans holding red NRIC worried about the Pui Kia in North Korea attacking their country, when Tiongs holding red NRIC go back to China and sing their national anthem, are these immigrants really here for the cumulative well being of SG?

that would be true if i was richer 10 years ago and now im poor,on the contrary my wealth level has not really changed much and in fact its slightly better now but my wellbeing has plunged......my wellbeing is determined by the amount of shitskins and putang ina mos that im surrounded by.....the higher the level the worse my wellbeing.
