2 things stood out

1) about paying market rate - 2 to 4% is rubbish. The fund manager will definitely get sacked for doing 2 - 4% when inflation is 5+%. And worst of all, they compare to savings rate. They should benchmark Berkshire

2) losses are not transferred to us - then where money come from? Someone has to weather the loss. The money will have to come from the people, one way or another. What bullshit.

Just the very view of our cpf as a fd is a total joke and about the mentality of the government. CPF should be viewed as a managed fund and not free loan.

Commercial banks hold 20%+- in liquid money. I doubt 20% of the adults turn 55 on the same day. Why would there be a run then?

if it's so easy to take back our savings, why then this:

1. raise withdrawal age from 55, it's now 65. won't be surprised it shall be increased to 70 and beyond. which means they shall tell us "we gonna live longer" just becos our precious immortal lives beyond 90. w't tf!

2. if one still won't die after 70, they increase the minimum sum. and what the fuck is minimum sum?? it now stands at $155k. won't be surprised they shall increase to maybe 1M which should freeze our life saving for good and eternally.

then they shall cook another series of craps to reason for hoarding our life savings. this is so much better than daylight robbery.
