Singapore-based M1 has a great deal on internet for businesses, at least on paper, where the company became the first provider to offer internet speed up to 10GBps. This service is basically aimed at corporations like financial institutions, data centers, other carriers and cloud service providers, and other businesses where substantial bandwidth is required. Commenting on the 10Gbps broadband service launch, Mr Willis Sim, Director - product development and enterprises services, M1, stated that in today's highly networked world, it's very crucial to have a reliable broadband service which lets enterprises backup real-time data and maintains business continuity and disaster recovery. With this 10Gbps service, the company's trying to achieve these very demands of dedicated bandwidth, technical support and service level agreements, he added.

m1.

In addition to what is Singapore's fastest broadband service, M1 is even introducing a competitively priced 1Gbps service for SMEs, which shall offer a substantial increase in access speed to users. And this too at almost the same price as their traditional connectivity service. Both these services could be availed immediately throughout the nation.

The 1Gbps service could be availed for S$996 per month, and also they've a 500Mbps plan which could be availed for S$498 per month.

The bottle neck will be with the traffic going out of Spore. .

If company bussiness need such speed. Sure they can afford. What is $1k/month for company doing such bussiness eg. CG/R&D/Scientific calculation.......

It's peanuts.

If you worked for an MNC you could use their internet to by-pass the Spore wall .

I actually started working in an MNC before Spore allowed people to access the internet. Back in the early years internet access was restricted. I heard that even at NUS, it was tightly controlled. The PAP feared the free flow of information.

Maybe because it is new and unknown?

Now you can even whack PAP here.

Try to whack the Thai King in Thailand.

They sent you to jail without soap and toothbrush.

Prior to returning to Spore I was in Canada & it's so easy to get internet access over there. Accounts are even given away free.
When I got back to Spore I tried to get internet access to keep in touch with friends,

So I went to Sim Lim Square & Funan to ask how to do it.
I got a rude shock because no one had heard of the internet:D:D:D

When the PAP finally open up the internet to the public you should have seen the number of pages of legalese that was involved:eek:
It was like signing a contract to buy property

What is surprising is that the gecko's law firm wasn't involved:D

Another great example of internet bullshit trying to make the government look bad. Commercialization of the internet for the US only started in the late 80s early 90s at which time dial up connection were publicly available in SG in the early 90s. The global internet revolution only started taking off in the mid to late 90s, Singtel was already selling Broadband connection in the mid to late 90s. Another great example of opposition supporting retards making up fairy tales

Friend I am an uncle & have been using the internet since the 80's. Stared using it in Canada. Back in those days there was no world wide web but you had email & FTP programs like Fetch where you can download apps. That is why I wanted an account when I got back to Spore, to keep in touch with friends & get free shareware & not criticise the gov't. That came after when I saw all the silly things going on in Spore:mad:

Spore has lost out to other countries because of all the silly regulations. Even today the silliness continues e.g. why do we still need a proxy sever blocking access to some sites? Who is paying for the internet brigades:confused: If it is Spore taxpayers why are they subsidising the PAP:rolleyes:

Up to 10GBps....not sustained 10GBps.

Sinkies just love getting screwed.
