There's nothing Japan or USA can do. We have to accept the fact that China will dominate world affairs. The dragon has awaken.

To play USA against China, as what Pinoyland and Japan are doing is futile. USA is getting weak and mired in too many wars and internal economic troubles and political squabbles.

For all you know, Malaysia could have already struck a deal with China. That been said, Singapore means nothing to China. As long as Indonesia is also agreeable to China, you can safely conclude that USA has no strategic allies in this region, whatever it tries to enforce, but Indonesia and Malaysia are both Muslim countries, hence dun expect USA to have much leverage over such countries.

Look people, China has dominate the world as the most advanced and wealthy civilization for 5,000 years or so, and the last 200 years it had been in the pits and bullied and culled left right center, by outsiders and internal strife. Now, it is on the ascension and unless it falls apart internally now, looks like nothing can stop it in its tracks.

Everyone can scream human rights about Xinjiang, Tibet or Mongolia, but with Russia and China backing each other up, G8 or Nato can kiss good-bye to any offensive without the blessings of these two world players.

The only country that can pose a problem to China is Russia. So, it is back to the ancient days, where the barbarians are at the North. History may come full circle. Who knows, right?

don't underestimate the Western powers. the Soviets successfully schemed to draw China into a war with Japan then. the US sold China out at Yalta and imposed a worldwide arm embargo on China after ww2, that facilitated the loss of China to the Chinese Communists who received the Soviet's massive military aid.

China and Japan must learn the right lessons from history: how the powers plotted to destroy their countries. they must not repeat their mistakes and become pawns in the great power game of the Western imperialists again.

China was weakened by the decline of the Manchu empire then. Besides, the Chinese were fucked dumb to get addicted to opium. China during 2 centuries was truly brought to its knees. That we all know.

But the China now is not easy to trifle with, being the largest importer and exporter and holding a gigantic surplus in budget and holding 1/3 of US national debt.

While militarily it can never match USA in might, it can overwhelm USA in its influence economically. Many countries trade with China. That is what is important. Besides, Western powers like Britain and USA have made many enemies, especially the Islamic fundamentals whom they term as terrorists.

Russia has invaded Ukraine to protect the no of Russians or even Russian speaking Ukraine from the new goverment. This sets a dangerous precedents like when Hitler invaded Austria to protect Germans living there. Same for Singapore, if too many Ah Tiongs come over and their interests are threatened, PRC can send troops over to 'protect' them. So, PAP, don't play! play!!

Why the need to occupy Singapore? If the Chinese wishes to they might as well occupy Vietnam or Laos or Cambodia. Singapore is too small an island and one nuclear missile from Beijing is enough to scare any South East Asian nation to submission. In fact their navy is mobile and can move into any territory if they so wish to.

Definitely not. In such a huge country, it is not right for one tongue to represent 1.3 billion (I would say that the majority wouldn't even know who this dude is), however, it is an official source whilst the masses are not heard.
