Twice in three days, S’poreans get blamed by the PAP for govt mistakes.

The traffic snarls on the Marina Coastal Expressway’s (MCE) first day of operations occurred as motorists were unfamiliar with the newly opened highway, said Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew. (MediaCorp 7th January)

I see this this as Lui shifting the blame to motorists using the MCE for the initial congestion problems on the MCE for what a user (at 11 am on the Monday day, so he had plenty of time to observe his surroundings) told me was a failure by tpt officials: “There is only one sign indicating the first exit into the city. One would have tot that based on the signage used on other expressways, there would be signs saying ‘Exit to X, 100m’ etc at regular intervals.” As the media reports a lot more signage going up since I heard this comment, I assume this problem has been fixed. And that this is the source of the problem.

If additional signage was required, then it wasn’t only the fault of daft S’poreans, was it minister?

Then there is the problem of a shortage of hospital beds.....

Well, pappies have done it so many times.. and they still get a bloody frigging majority vote in GE's .. so why change?

Unless those F#$King lousy, stupid, idiotic, and unkat-kings amongst us stop voting for them, and a new ruling party comes in.. THEN.. only then.. will they even consider to change.. but will those 60.1% change?

Of course it's every Singaporeans fault , for voting them into power
Typical Papzis behavior , biting the hand that feeds
:oIo:

I guarantee you many from the 60.1% will change to support the new ruling party.

The ruling party will not see their own mistakes.
Being a one party rule for half a century and the 60% support had cause them to be delusional.

PAP is like the rooster who thinks that the sun rises because of its crow, so how can they make mistakes.

Singaporean hospital patients should sleep on the floor. They are too pampered.

Not all of the 60.1% are hardcore PAP supporters. A lot of them give grudging support, or thinks the PAP is the lesser evil.

Those moderate ones can be swayed. And a lot have been swayed through the years. PAP's share of popular votes has been plummeting over the last decade.

The grudging support has been fanned by the PAP propaganda that investors watch elections and may pull out.

A very perceptive post. Fully agree. And that's why we must all do our part to expose their stupid mistakes, lies, cover-ups and blame shifting whenever there's an opportunity. If we do so consistently and regularly, we may be able to sway enough from the current 60% PAP supporters to vote the PAP out in next GE2016. Not easy, but we must soldier on. Even if we can't succeed in 2016, we will succeed in 2021, we must save our future generation from the exploitative powers of the PAP.

Yes, this is a very very big question mark thing that the frigging pappies throw at ppl. But, I feel it'e effect is fast fading, as more and more ppl have seen past this "word of wisdom". We all know that amid the chaos and confusion, there will be some investors who will also "swoop" in to take whatever they can of the situation.

For better or worse, I feel there will always e investors.. it's not the 1970s or 80s any more.. where ppl view stability and non-upheaval as the ONE important factor for business. In certain situations, chaos and confusion can spur businesses even more. The shrewd and smart businessmen will know, and it is widely known on print and on the internet, how such shrewd ppl take advantage of any situation to their true benefit.

And I agree with both you and bro laksaboy that there are still hardcore pappy supporters.. I feel that bro jw5 hit something when he says that alot have felt disappointed with the way pappies have handled the country in recent years.

I also feel an underlying trend of "anti-Chinese" sentiment from both the Malay and Indian Singaporeans.. it's as if they are feeling the "heart" from the influx of more PRC as both foreigners and new citizens.. and with the recent reaction over how the New Year celebrations was made into almost like a Chinese New Year thingy.. I feel the anti-Chinese sentiment is slowly but surely, rearing it's head.

Take note, that the "Messiah" incident also saw many Malay Singaporeans "rise up".. I don't see this as an isolated incident.. but more that these 2 groups are really not happy about what is going on.. and with more foreigners coming in.. some of their "usual" jobs like service and delivery, have gone to PRC and Pinoys.. I don't think they are really feeling happy about it. And I remember that a friend, a Malay, once told me that he liked PAP because alot of jobs were given to Malay Singaporeans.. back then of course. Recently, he is out of a job.. and finding it hard to even get an interview.

Well done pappies.. continue to blame Singaporeans.. what goes around will come around.

What's new ?

When Mas Selamat escaped, instead of blaming Wong Cunt Sing, Lau Chee Bye blamed Sinkies for not being vigilant.

Hahahahaaahhhhaaaaaaaaaa................

.

Gov must put some regulation on this eg. After one hr complete operation if no bed available. The hospital bed will be waive for that day or one day.
