1. Ministry of Health....failed....going for fire fighting soon

2. MND....under intense fire fighting, lead by a $8 clown from Malaysia who ruined the above

3. Ministry for transportation.....still under repairs with aids from Airforce, Navy and Army.
4. Ministry for education.......still building child care centres

5. Ministry for manpower.......the main cause in the riots and they still don't know

6. Ministry for Enviroment .... built a barrage but operates at 30% capacities to avoid ponding

All ministries that serve the people failed but all those taxing the people succeed.

What kind of government is this?

Singapore is one of the most successful nations on earth. The government must be pretty fantastic.

many sinkies are suffering from stocholm syndrome and continue to vote for PAP and continue to be screwed by PAP

I don't understand why so many misguided people keep saying that the PAP has failed when all the indices point to the fact that Singapore is one of the richest countries on earth.

Just because some people fail doesn't mean the government is at fault.

In any scenario, there will be failures. For example, when I was in school, we had very good teachers and the school produced many scholars annually. However, there were still students who failed and that was because they were either lazy, stupid or both.

No school can guarantee 100% passes and no country can guarantee 100% success for everyone. There will always be losers.

You measure wealth as success. It is your only barometer to judge success.

Let's just agree to disagree.

Twit, there is a difference between a student who failed in school and a highly paid govt who failed the people.

No difference whatsoever. A school provides the infrastructure and the guidance and creates the opportunities to excel. The students then have to put in the hard work and perseverance and make a success of their lives. If they fail, they have only themselves to blame.

A country is exactly the same. The government creates the conditions that are conducive to success. The rest is up to the people.

From the PAP's point of view "they" are doing very well, making all that $$$$$. Why should they are about the "lesser mortals"

It's not like the "lesser mortals" would vote them out.

That's how Singaporeans have chosen to measure it. Government policies are simply a reflection of the aspirations of the people.

Why else is the Merc the top selling car in Singapore? In countries such as NZ where people are not materialistic, the Toyota Corolla is the top seller as Kiwis value functionality more than they do prestige. I have yet to come across a Kiwi carrying an LV bag genuine or fake. It's simply not important to them.

In Singapore however, it's all about striving to have the best of everything and then showing it off.

Did Singapore government create the right conditions in transport, education, medical and space for the people?

They they create easy conditions, conducive enough to attract rich & famous to become citizens in order to gain votes.

I totally agree with you on this Sam!
Ozzie and New Zealanders are practical people! a watch is a watch!
In SG watch is not a watch unless it's a Rolex!

A hand bag is not a Hand bag unless it's crocodile bag or LV bag!!

A car is not a car unless it's Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Audi!! or
Ferrari, Lambo, Marserati, Porche...

In Ozzie and New Zealand as long a car has 4 wheels can take you from
point A to Point B! good enough! Practicality and not prestige!

In Sinkeipore there's group of cyclists only cycle Pinarello Dogma these bastard cyclists
are the arrogant lot, if u are new and just join them no one will talk to you unless you bought
everything top end, that will cost you $20K, than they will accept you as their group!!

But they will look at what car you drive?? if u drive a sports car, Lambo, the owner of the bike
shop will even volunteer to wash your bike for free!! If u are looking for entry level bike that cost
$5K owner will look down on you, and walk away not uttering a word!! this is the type of Arrogance
you'll face, reality in Sinkiepore!!

In New Zealand all you need to do is just give any alu or steel bike these young Anzuk boys they will beat
Sinkiepore arrogant cyclist by the mile, no need expensive bike, u need leg power!

Singapore's transport system is one of the best in the world. If you look at the chaos in most cities around the globe, you'll appreciate that the traffic in Singapore is still relatively free flowing.

Education is tops too. The Global Education Survey regularly places Singapore in the top 5 positions in the whole world.

In healthcare, Singapore is rated amongst the top 5 nations too.

The government has also taken great pains to ensure that open spaces are available for everyone to enjoy.

You won't realise how lucky you are until you're stuck in some other country.

A fuck is still a fuck
A hole is still a hole
How about trying a gorilla's hole?

As a political party, the PAP is an astounding success - it easily breezed through with victories in every general election. As a governing entity, it has an easy job to do running a small nation with a very pliant and obedient citizenry and friendly neighbours. Wish I joined them, I'd have a big fat salary and an easy job.

Cheers!
