Just got back doing my bit for charity - been collecting left over bread and pastries from a bakery unit to deliver to a nursing home under the volunteer 'Food from the heart' program. 2 wks ago, helped to pack emergency supplies to Philippines for the Haiyan disaster relief. Must say feel pretty good about it!! I guess doing this has mutual benefits, the beneficiaries benefit and it's good for your heart and soul!! U guys should try it!!

Well! Cannot lie. Sorry to disappoint u guys but the only 'chiobus' u meet r in their 60s above, some bedridden and smells!! Maybe the odd fellow volunteers may meet that standard!! But hey!! This is something u do to reinvigorate the heart and soul. After all that partying and drinking and what's nots, u need to do something like this to balance up. Believe me, u won't regret it!!

bread to Old Folks home.

Than 2005 to 2013 was charity work delivering provision to the POOR I drove the
Charity home Toyota Van...its nice feeling after the day's work!!

I don't know about charity work but I did some social work giving financial counseling a few years ago. It was a most frustrating time of my life. I gave up after 18 months and swore never to do anything similar again.

Yes, sometimes must do some good deeds, then u can enjoy other pleasures without guilty or less of a guilty conscience!!

I am already doing charity work, every day I work I donate to a charity called CPF..what more charity work, do I need. But, the best part is, when I am in need, CPF is most uncharitable...

lol. i wonder if your relief packages even reached to the right people. but nevertheless, good for you. :)

Doing is too tiring, I don't mind giving to charitable causes, but NEVER to those salesmen soliciting on the streets and getting commissions.
