So which are good for the citizens?
If a party scores 2 out of 3, then should we vote her in 2015?

This is not a list of merits on which party is best to vote for as different people believe different things.

It's just to summarize the platforms of 5 of the most important parties on 3 issues I find most important.

I support the WP's platform most but not everyone will think the same as me.

I support all other parties so long as it is not PAP.
If a pariah dog is contesting against PAP, I would vote for the pariah dog :oIo:

To elaborate.

Housing: The free market idea is not a good one even if BTO is delinked as you can only delink to an extent. The NOM policy may create a wider asset gap between rich and poor even if it helps the poor. Grants and controlling supply and demand are not really policies but reactions. Hence, I am in favour of pricing flats using some formula related to the median income of Singaporeans.

Transport: Call me conservative but I wonder how much competition can take place in Singapore which is a small country. Transport cooperatives will not make difference with GLCs since they need to be business-minded. I am for nationalization of transport - government manages the transport system at low cost (or at the cost of low votes). The absence of competition to govt-run transport prevents the private sector from pushing up transport prices.

Healthcare: PAP's plan has proven to be costly, but I'm not sure how sustainable is SDP's plan which is indirectly handouts and will cost a lot. WP's plan is for insurance and co-payment only for hospitalization.

Voting-wise, it is usually PAP vs another, so for the sake of breaking the monopoly, I will always vote the other.

In 3CF or MCF, the story is different. I will look at both the party and the candidate.
