Income Inequality will cost the future generations

....PS: denial does not resolve the typo you made on page 1 of this thread.

You are just like Pinky, except you're direct whereas he's sly as a fox.

It's up to you to accept my explanation. I reiterate: I made no typo. I've bery low IQ, about 39 and a GCE "O" level pass in 3 subjects. But at least I can differentiate between porlumpars, sicko-fans, ruling elite and the princelings.

Here's the figures I have :

Switzerland :

Population below poverty line:

7.9% (2010)

1. The figure is not for Sinkieland, it’s for Switzerland. It's one of your Tonychat and T0nychat tricks again.

The authors argue that excessive inequality stifles investment, leads to more frequent boom-bust cycles and makes people wary of sound economic policies. Based on an analysis of dozens of countries, they found that reducing income inequality by just 10 per cent extends the length of economic expansions by 50 per cent.

Bullshit researchers should go visit India and China. The Rich Poor Gap can't get any further than those 2 countries yet investment money is flying than by the plane load

North Korea have almost 0 income inequality. Everyone is equally poor. No investment spotted there

2. It came from the CIA factbook, whereas the figures I cited in post # 37 is provided by the Informational Services of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation.

3. It would be reasonable to assume that data provided by a Swiss governmental agency about the situation in Switzerland is more reliable. After all, the CIA is a spy agency of a country that is thousands of miles from Switzerland and is probably more interested in how many tanks Switzerland has than how many poor people.

4. The same CIA factbook also has a line for Singapore and it states “NA”. Which could mean:

(a) the government of Sinkieland has not bothered to collect data on the problem; or

(b) it has collected data but does not wish to provide the public access to it perhaps because it might reveal a picture that is far less rosy than that depicted by Straits Times and might cause some party to lose face if not votes.

5. The same CIA factbook also has a line for Hong Kong and similarly it states “NA”. We know that Hong Kong has already defined its poverty line. Future editions of the CIA factbook will have figures for Hong Kong. Unfortunately, those future editions still will not have any figures for Sinkieland, cause the Gahbrament does not want to measure the problem. Why?

Investments are going to China because of cheap labour ...even then, the end is nigh as labour cost is escalating substantially over there.

We don't need all type of investments, we need investments that generate high paying jobs. The PAP is desperate for all kinds of investment, like we are still in the early phase of economic development. That's why sinkapore's standard of living is regressing and the government has to import millions of foreigners.

Because North Korea has nothing to offer. It is NOT because of equality over there.

Singapore's figure is correct. There are no poor in Singapore. There are no poor in Switzerland either. However, the government of Switzerland has foolishly conjured up an arbitrary figure which does the country no favours whatsoever. Thankfully, the Singapore government is prudent enough not to go down that route.

If you want to see genuine poverty, you'll have to go to third world countries for a reality check.

You have a weird sense of humour! :p

Why does this always happen when I try to inject a bit of light hearted stuff into the forum???

Is it me? Am I not doing it right? Please advise. You've been here since 2008. You should be able to discern fact from fiction.

You have an excellent sense of humour. Clap, clap … … …

Must be careful though. Many Sinkies = trained to be Robots = like Commander Data from Star Trek
