do most Malaysian PRs eventually apply for citizenship ?

Those foreigners that are in our midst the longest....ie Malaysians and indo Chinese most never take up citizenship....Indos even after the anti Chinese wave back then also did not convert.
Before 97 many hongkies took up....guess they must be regretting now. Or many already springboard to places like Canada Liao.
The ones that covet the pink ic are the tiongs and ah neh pariahs....note it's the low class ones not the really rich and real talents.
Even smelly pinoys do not want sinkie ic.

Depends on who is more powerful in the family, i've a Spore citizen friend who married msian PR husband and her two children are also singapore citizen.

She worry about her properties in Malaysia which is below RM500,000. She do not know what will happened to the properties if she is no longer a Malaysian.

another common reason people gave is they worried cannot go back msia to take care of parents if they convert..if it is usa citizenship, will they have the same worry?
Not really, i also know of Singapore girls who married Msian PR husband and the children are Msians..
Think we need to be objective here (not just hearsay). Unsure of actual mix for kids who convert or stick by default parents passports, unless stats bear out
not sure, think the default is follow the child's father citizenship..
