Not really. Cable is cheaper, and not all people need the faster internet access.

Recall the days when cable internet first arrived. Most people were still using dialup, some switched to ISDN or ADSL.

I was looking at Starhubs Homehub bundle which includes fibre for home + mobile + phone line. However Spore GLCs have a habit of over promising & under delivering so I've decided to take a wait & see what the competition will do. I'm currently paying for a cheaper ADSL connection which I can live with.

soon our ADSL will go the way of teletext. anyone still has the $19.95 contract? :D

Anyone using fiber broadband from M1, Starhub and SingTel?

Can any of these service provider really deliver exactly the kind of bandwidth they advertised during peak and non-peak hours?

I wanted to stick with my ADSL but it seems that Singtel is trying to move all their users into Fibre BB by giving you super uncompetitive pricing for your ADSL Internet.

Anyway, copper line will be way of the past.We are going Fibre.

I'm no longer under contract with Singtel but still have a grandfather agreement with them for just under $24.

I have of course received their $39.90 offer for 100M fibre deal as well as Starhub's TV+ 200M+Mobile+unlimited local calls for $68.80. So evaluating all the "offers":)
