SINGAPORE: Singapore actress Ann Kok will make her big screen debut in the upcoming Singapore comedy “Filial Party”, which is set in modern Singapore.


Helmed by Boris Boo, the film revolves around “I Am Filial”, a fictional television game show created by Millionaire Liu (Mark Lee), in which the contestant who displays exceptional filial piety gets to take home the S$1 million cash prize.


Kok plays the successful lawyer Shiyun, one of the three finalists on the game show, who each have their own reasons for participating in the unusual competition.


The other two finalists are Beng (Christopher Lee), a school security guard, and a fresh graduate named Annie.


The S$1.5 million film will go into production in late October, and is slated for release in the second quarter of 2014.
