taking to the streets like a restless and mindless mob is not the way singaporeans express their discontentment. there is no need to copy others. we do not want to copy a country where law makers fight and throw punches in parliament. hallelujah!!!
happy national day singapore!!! majulah singapura!!!
kopisai, wait till your son die in NS or reservist .... I see if you can still talk cock, sing song :oIo:
people take to the streets for various reasons
there is no compelling reasons for peace-loving and pragmatic singaporeans to take to the streets because we know we have a world class and responsible governance and a first class check system which will punish the recalcitrants and wrong-doers. the system is built into our governance. taking to the streets serves no purpose at all. it simply shows a weakness to understand the system. it just disrupts and allow itself to be exploited by people with a hidden agenda.
no point following other countries. singapore is unique. we have our own unique system of check and balance. if you disagree, you ca always write to the media and meet up with your mp or even have your own say at the speaker's corner.nobody is stopping you from doing what you wish to. but if there is a breach in security and if your action is deterimental to the well being of the country, then you have to answer for it.

The uniqueness bs has run its course. We definitely don't want a system where the people's will is ignored. An animated democracy expressing the people's will is the way forward. Sinkapore Springs please!taking to the streets like a restless and mindless mob is not the way singaporeans express their discontentment. there is no need to copy others. we do not want to copy a country where law makers fight and throw punches in parliament. hallelujah!!!
what a bunch of retards.
people die everyday.
there is nothing wrong with soldier mati during exercise, it happen everywhere in the world.
it is not about the soldier it is about opposition using it as excuse to hurt the government.
in uk, 3 die in one day, and no one care there

Mr Crane Mr Escher, I am a proud Singaporean. I served NS and I am fully employed. There is no need to curse me or my son or any NSF. We performed our duties with pride, with love for our country and with dedication. In any organisation, especially in the military service, accidents do occur. Mishaps do occur. We do our utmost to safeguard our children and our soldiers while they are undergoing training in the army, in the navy or in the police force and other civil defence organisations. Rest assured that we have a very caring and very competent surpervision of our NSF.
There is no need to curse anyone for the curse might just fall flat on your face.
Majulah Singapura!!!
The big difference is accountability. In UK, the parents can get the info to satisfy themselves that the deaths were not a result of mistakes and errors.

you sure know how to talk cock. what compelling reasons? there are thousands. in fact no need a reason to protest in most countries. It is only because sinkies are kiasus, kiasi and kia chenghu and blardy selfish. they would only protest when it involves their son or their flat property price. other people dies they would not bother. only talk big and talk cock like you. That's why they deserved to be screwed again and again. so what if other law makers fight. at least they are better than some who talk cock only. so much for swiss standard of living
You do the utmost to protect the NSF? That's pure bs. What welfare? MINDEF fights to pay the least compensation.
MINDEF and the PAP government values the lives of foreigners more than that of sinkees. Sinkees die, let's move on. Foreigners die, big news.
Why should sinkees defend a country for foreigners?
Give NSMen the guns and see if they would fight the enemy outside or the bigger enemy within?
Defence minister resigned, 18 officers charged becos 1 soldier die of heat stroke in DB. What more these taiwanese want? Democrazy country!
There is many reasons for sinkees to protest and demand change, one of which is the 2.5 million foreigners. Get rid of them and most of sinkapore problems can be easily resolved.
The system is keep harping on is a dictatorship. There is no room for dictatorship, especially one where social contracts are violated at will. Where is the Swiss Standard of Living promised decades ago??????
The PAP System is broken ...they have failed to deliver. Goodness, they can't even provide hawker centres free of rats! And they give themselves millions in pay!
The uniqueness bs has run its course. Reality speaks louder than bs.
Media is PAP controlled, MPs is the PAP ...there is no way to voice our concerns.

The 31-year-old analyst with the Ministry of Defence died in hospital, having been in a critical condition since falling ill during the exercise on July 13.
Cpl Dunsby of The Royal Yeomanry was one of three soldiers to die after a gruelling time trial march for special forces selection on one of the hottest days of the year.
Edward John Maher and Lance Corporal Craig John Roberts died on the day, after they collapsed during the exercise as temperatures hit 30C. Up to three others were taken ill and recovered.
Cpl Dunsby was taken to Merthyr Tydfil Hospital in South Wales and then transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he died on Tuesday.
winnie Leongsam won't be adding to your points save your breath
are you doing NS now? or do you have a loved on doing NS ? if you do, then you will realise that there are many safety nets and schemes that will help the NSF. i don't believe our government value ther lives of foreingers more than any of our own people. give me one good example that our government has done that.
singapore is not a country for foreigners. we are defending our own country. our core system is singaporean and we own and run this country ourselves. new citizens and foreigners are here to help to boost our economy and to enhance the genetic and talent pool here. what bigger enemy within? can you identify the enemy within?
we have our coroner's courts and hearings .....to satisfy all parties concerned.
we are a very responsible and accountable organisation. nothing special about uk....
