never heard of the house of representatives passing any laws on abortion or anti-abortion. as of today, at the federal level, roe vs. wade still stands. you're probably confused with the anti-abortion debate in the state of texas. no, it has not been passed in texas yet as one female state senator did the "filibuster" just before it was to go to the state governor for it to become state law. it's not truly anti-abortion at fetal level but has conditions for late term abortions.

for a law to be passed in the u.s. at the federal level, it has to pass the house of senate and house of representatives, then subject to potus veto or approval. the house of reps alone cannot pass anything into law.

The outcome that we can all live with is US impose a ban on transfer of US technology to Sinkapore. Sinkapore can save money by buying Chinese and Russian weapons. IME can hire collaborate with the Chinese openly. Ang mos will avoid coming to sinkapore and Ah Tiongs will run the show.

My understanding is that scholars can pursue law as well. They could then join the legal service after completion of NS and work their way up to become judges. The judicial service pay is equivalent to the Admin Service. I stand to be corrected.
