I liked the way the Minister of Law made his comment about directing the AGC to see if there anything in law that can be used in against those who are responsible for the haze.

He knows very well there are none ad these are acts that are done outside the country. So why the stunt and why the clown show.

What however works is using the current sanctions framework used to enforce UN sanctions. All they have to do is place the companies as well as their parents companies and all principals behind these companies and I guarantee you all these nonsense will ground to a halt. These sanctions are highly delilbitating.

Anyone who is familiar with trade sanctions will tell you how disastraous these are. And the most interesting is that one does not have to build anything in scratch. All the system needs is names and demographic details.

I can assure you there will be a queue outside Sri Temasek before the media statement hits the ground.

The UN cannot be involved in every nook and corner. This also does not need ASEAN nod. The country economy and livelihood is at stake. The questions is is anyone prepared to take on the friends and associates of the family.

It will be an interesting cabinet meeting where the majority of the Ministers will looking at the PM to see if this is core sovereign interest or core crony interest.

That's why we need a new govt!

There is this saying: You know the circus is in town when the clowns are around.

This whole show of Sinkie ministars promising this, threatening that, flying to meet their Indon counterparts, is all but a circus.

Exactly. By the way, in terms of bilateral trade, is Singapore a net importer or exporter of Indon goods and services?

The questions is is anyone prepared to take on the friends and associates of the family.

An analyst interviewed by an international broadcasting agency had already said there are far too many vested interests at stake for FamiLEE to take on the culprits.

And notice what Tricky Tan, titular head of Sinkieland wrote about the moon!

Another drinking glass of water after the dead body in water tank episode. Notice the waist pouch. I wont be surprised grassroots leader who rushed down with his family.

Those not familiar with sanction, here are couple of additional info. Its a modern mechanism introduced on a supranational scale to fight transborder issues such as crime, terrorism and threats to large societies. When applied in full, bank accounts including personal accounts are frozen. Someone facing sanctions can't even withdraw enough money from the ATM to buy a pair of flying wheel underwear.

Someone facing sanctions in Singapore is worse than a bankruptcy order and will have eventually have the leave the country to get access to funds.

Some people just need to pass daily motion through the mouth every now and then.

Does this sound very familiar?? when one Deputy Prime Minister ( read deputy), wanted to refer CLOB to the International Juctice what?? ( maybe justice league, with the Fantastic Four) what happened??

When come to using the law against outside the country, we are like an Eunuch without balls...but in SINGapore, they are the greatest.

When one has no balls, all the more one tries to impress others that they DO have the balls.
Chui kong, lampar song.

Unless a country can project military power, this applies to any nation.

NZ was in the same boat when the French were doing their nuclear tests in French Polynesia. Grandiose posturing and sabre rattling did nothing to stop the French from using NZ's backyard as their nuclear playground.

Only a handful of superpowers are capable of backing up any threats with real action.

At least NZ despite its size caught the French Intelligence agents for bombing the Rainbow and making a fool of France. The French wrongly thought they were dealing with sheep farmers and shaggers.

Taiwan govt just need to cry sanction on Pinoy only and their people withdraw Pinoy stuff from their shelves and freeze all maid applications, etc, etc.....and the Pinoy govt kwai kwai listen to Taiwan.

Taiwan also mobilized 3 of its war-ships and crossed the sea-line, yet Pinoy kwai kwai keep quiet.

Singapore air force should fly some fighter jets across Indonesia to show it mean business. If not, buy all those expensive fighter jets for fuck?? To line the pocket with under-table commission is it?

hahaha...u twit....u obviously don't know who is LKY.....in 1963, he gave the mighty British a slap in the face by unilaterally declaring Singapore independent...
the British have to cowardly look elsewhere, pretending that it did not happen....lol.

Our problem is that too many people associated with the political elite have their snout in the same trough and feeding voraciously from it.

Here is a simple example. Former MP and cabinet minister Lim Hwee Hua who got whacked black and blue in Aljunied has a husband called Andy. Andy runs a fund management company and within select list where foreigners if they place their funds in it for a certain amount are eligible for PR. You tell me if an Ah Tiong knows that his wife is a cabinet minister where will he place his funds. Its the same with Sentosa Cove where those who bought it are eligible for PR and the developer is a PAP CCC chairman.

Despite all the bullshit about white than white, all they got is a 49 year old lady giving a BJ to a civil servant. We have been fixing international football games for years and Ng Ser Miang wants to run for IOC chief. Might as well house foxes in hen houses.

If it boiled down to military options alone and no other factors mattered, I'm sure Singapore could punch above its weight.

However, you have to realise that the value of your homes, the strength of the Sing dollar and the whole foundation upon which Singapore Inc is built is based upon the premise that the Island is an oasis of peace and security.

If Singapore initiates an aggressive military gambit, all Indonesia has to do is launch a couple of mortars from any number of Riau Islands which are within range and Singapore as we know it now will be finished. The physical damage may be minimal. The psychological and economic impact will be fatal.

You sure picked the worse example. The Philippines is everyone's whore. Its the only capital when on arrival at a 5 star hotel you can procure a 9 year old child. The person bringing the kid will be always a woman and the she will be escorted by a local cop.

What Taiwan did is something anyone else can do including our local gangsters. Remember the vice president of the Philippines turned up personally to officially to open a small remittance store for an Ah Beng Singaporean at Lucky Plaza.

Singapore is like a coveted maiden. The humsup Yodonono will smoke out the occupants and leave the infrastructure intact. That's why it uses chemical warfare and not mortars. No need to worry, and stop behaving like a child. It's just a harmless fly-over of a few last-generation planes.
