The German government confirmed the sale of 104 used Leopard 2 tanks and 50 armored personnel carriers Marder 1A2 armoured infantry fighting vehicle by industrial group Rheinmetall to Indonesia, but has put off a decision on a tank sale to Saudi Arabia, a defence source said on Friday, May 10, 2013.

104 can easily explain. I guess indo armour will be assign as a brigade which will consist of 60-80 MBTs. 10 plus for trainings purposes and the rest as spares or evaluation. A bit strange for indo army to purchase MBTs in the first place as it lack the lift capabilities for a armour brigade. What the use of deploying armour piecemeal? Even USN have problem deploying a marine brigade for amp mission.

US UAVs are equipped with Hellfire missiles, Singapore ones are unarmed. Their fire and control system is alot more sophisticated than ours, ST is still light years from producing cutting edge technology, so yes, doesn't make sense to salvage Hellfires from our Apaches and put them on UAVs when they can't hit shit.

1. SAF UAVs may not carry the 114s but how you know they're not armed?

2. Don't compare SAF's UAVs to the Americans. It's obvious they are more advance, flying UAVs in Middle East from Langley. Our theatre of operation is close by.

as of now, i doubt any of the SAF UAVs are armed. mainly use for reconnaissance, i seen them often while on 4D3N tour of LCK during ICTs. while it 4-5 years since i completed my NS liability but i dun think SAF can upgrade so fast. not i see them no up, dun say hellfire missile, i doubt current UAVs can drop any dumb munition. u must remember their primary purpose is for reconnaissance, much better to remain undetected while direct arty fire onto the target. of course if i a useless pengkia can see the UAVs during ICT, that only mean the UAVs not really as good as the saf pioneer magazine print.
