East Coast got huge fish?

6kg garoupa i would reckon the meat to be tough somewhat........

Not really.. The meat was succulent.. Actually my 6kg Garoupa nothin..

Few years ago, few local Anglers caught a 40 Kg Garoupa near to the SAF Tanah Merah Yacht Club.. Then few weeks after tha,t a Changi boatman caught a 70 kg Shovel Nosed shark near to the same spot where they caught the garoupa..

The worst killers are these retards who thinks that by letting the animal free, they are doing a good deed. It only promotes commercialisation and more killing of the animals. The hunting stops only when the buying stops.

Yah in away I agree with you.

The infidelity of Sinkie men stops the moment the seduction from PRCs mei mei stops!LOL

The most cruel living in this planet is not tiger, not lion, not snake, but human.
Tiger, lion, snake or all other animals catch and eat for their own survival... Food.
But the human are most cruel because they follow their desire by killing animals unnecessarily.

Hobbies of hunting, fishing, eating shark fins etc... Lists go on endlessly.
If we could mange our desire not to harm others, this world would become a peaceful place, which we never see because of human nature (selfishness, greed, anger, ignorance, etc.)

Must be one of those silly Buddhist.

Great job pal, accumulate more merit and soon you won't be subject to the cycle of death and rebirth anymore.

good karma still will be reborn.................

to end rebirth.....................you need to have no more karma.................

## anyway, the photo like the stingray giving the fisherman a blowjob hor ?

Try telling that to the Mongols or Eskimos where you can't grow crops and have to eat animals to survive.

Humans are omnivores. Deal with it. Our ancestors were hunter-gatherers... they certainly didn't hunt for fruits and vegetables.
Choosing a vegan/vegetarian diet is a lifestyle choice, no different from gay sex or BDSM.

Abstaining from meat does not make you more moral. Get off your high horse.

Look at the way the guy held the Sting Ray..

I'm sure its already injured its mouth when it swallowed the hook.. No use releasing it back into the sea.. It will die due to its injuries..

Catch n release are known as sport fishing...normally far off in d sea. Their target wld normall be d likes of sword or sailfish which gives a good fight. Even 20kg garoupa they wld release back. If they do take home, it wld just be 1 or 2 fishes weighing less than 10kg. The likes at Bedok jetty are the type who wld haul back watever they could get.

Theres nothing wrong wif the way the guy hold d stingray. Hook thats in the mouth n not remove by anglers will corrode over time n the wound wld heal. Seldom will the hook end up in the stomach, just like human being, they wld bite the bait before swallowing n that is when they will get hook in d mouth, so to speak.

Ha ha, I am not vegetarian.
Eating meats is not wrong, but following our unwholesome desire is a root cause of the problem (in life circle/ karma).
Think about it... hobby of fishing causes many fishes in danger, but we enjoy seeing how fishes are caught???
Hobby of hunting causes various animals in danger, but we enjoy it???

Btw, Traditional Buddhism does not prohibit meats, knowing that some areas do not have or do not grow vegetables.
Mindfulness in keeping away those unwholesome desires is a key in Buddhism.
Many people have wrong perception in Buddhism with rituals, being vegetarians, etc. which are not encouraged by Buddha.

Have a nice day...

Some anglers practise this 'catch and release' method.. They would release the fish that they caught back into the sea.. Its ok to do that if you hook up a small fish but if you managed to haul up a 6 kg Garoupa, then I say fuck to the catch and release prinicple..

That's what I did when I hooked up a big garoupa few years ago at Pulau Ubin.. One lady asked me kindly to release the fish.. I swiftly say No!

The real reason why some serious angler release their catch is because they really enjoy the "kick" of fighting a fish and when they release it they thought that someday the same fish will grow bigger and will end up in their line in future or giving birth to more fishes so that they can continue to fish at the same area . most of my fishing friend do that . And the best part is they don't use live bait they prefer fishing lures . They told me its a great feeling to fool the fish to bite their line . Sense of achievement .

That's why human will remain on top of the food chain ;)

In my opinion, there is too much fishing at Bedok Jetty.. Sometimes I find it baffling that some of these anglers would even bring back home a small juvenile fish less than the size of a palm..

Yes bro, its the kick and the feeling of satisfaction when you fight the fish and manage to haul it back to shore or back to your boat.. Had a great time fighting the Sailfish at Rompin Malaysia.. One of my most memorable fishing trip was at Darwin years ago.. Was able to see a 4m Saltwater croc swam just besides our chartered fishing boat..
