Re: WARNING: Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) antibiotic is Poison!! MOH & HSA do not tell you..
Hi Sir,
Cipro is widely used , especially for urinary tract infections and severe gastroenteritis. It is a "wonder" drug.
But like all drugs and antibiotics, there are adverse reactions. Yes, there are cases where the use of Cipro can cause death - a medical fatality. Even the consumption of Panadol can cause a medical mishap if the one taking it has an adverse reaction.
I've taken Cipro prescribed by my GP when I had contacted a very severe form of gastroenteritis after returning from a trip overseas. And the drug works wonders!
And Cipro group of drugs are widely used to treat STD too - with good results.
If you need to use Cipro, make sure you do not have any adverse reactions. If you suspect you have an allergy, please do not use it.Because Cipro's adverse reaction can cause death. Instead of helping you to fight bacteria, it can cause death by depleting all your immune systems. My friend nearly died after taking Cipro for his loose stools!!! His intestinal tract was denuded and he went into a septic shock and collapsed. Luckily he survived.
Cipro is a good drug. USE ONLY WHEN IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!!!
Many travellers take Cipro as a prophylactic drug. I don't think you should do this.
Thank you Sinkie for a wonderful article and a good CAUTION AND WARNING to potential users.
